DIRECT SERVICES:

Together, we will work in a safe space to process complicated and challenging emotions and circumstances. We will focus on safety and dignity for all, while identifying strengths and opportunities that will support growth and healing.

For over twenty five years I have had the opportunity to learn from and support individuals and families experiencing life’s challenges that interfere with mental health and wellness.

As an extension of my research, I have worked in various sectors such as:

  • Education

  • Child welfare

  • Youth Justice

  • Community Health Promotion

  • Early Years Identification and Prevention Programming

  • Child/Adult Mental Health

  • Hospital: Medicine and Community team for Severe and Persistent Mental Illness and Addictions

The purpose of my research has been to understand, from the family and front-line perspective, both the opportunities and gaps faced by those living with complicated mental health and developmental issues with a particular curiosity about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). I remain committed to working towards a more inclusive social support system, I have learned that there is much we can and need to do to help people feel understood, like they belong, and that they are in a better position to live their best life.

The focus of my work circles around safety and dignity for all.
