OVERVIEW:

This training program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of complex mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders with a focus on the most common and largely misdiagnosed/misunderstood condition, FASD. It aims to equip participants with knowledge and practical strategies to be better positioned to screen and identify more complex conditions and support individuals in more helpful and relevant ways.

The program will emphasize the importance of viewing mental health and wellness through an intergenerational, trauma-informed, and compassionate lens, prioritizing emotional and physical safety and dignity. We will also explore advocacy efforts, caregiver support, and innovative and effective therapeutic approaches for individuals and family members.
